Parents who were doing homeschool (I guess it is the majority) will have a time to rest and kids would be able to sleep in. I bet that most people such as myself become so much accustomed to seeing World Globes as decorative artefacts that they lose any sense of them as learning objects. As we are back with a sunny weather, it is the best moment to brighten our saturdays by taking 5 minutes to gaze at a world globe for a quick reminder of where some countries are located.

Mount Everest, as most people know, is the highest mountain above sea level in the world. On some of Topglobe’s world globes, Mount Everest is represented by a black filled triangle shape at the border of Nepal and China. It is Radhanath Sikdar (October 1813 – 17 May 1870), an Indian Bengali mathematician who is best known for calculating the height.
